Green Monk--Here We Go!
Well I'm getting underway on the first ever Green Monk comic. I just finished the script the other day and have just a little bit of design work to do before I start doing the thumbnails.
I think the story will be cool. Short, exciting, kind of fairytailish, with a funky twist at the end. My wife doesn't like the ending, but we'll see how it flies with other folks.
Anyway, I can't just make a post full of words. Here's one of the characters I'm designing for the mini-comic.

awesome designs and your characters have a great amount of appeal. Whats the plan with this project? Looks like it will be a fun read from the looks of it
His knee looks like a penis... sorry but it does. Other then that looks great!
... and if that's the surprise ending you're talking about, I don't like it either.
But the character looks awesome.
Don't monks usually have, you know, a little more clothing? This guy doesn't make me think of a monk, but if somebody pointed him out in a crowd and told me he was a monk, I might be inclined to believe them. But I think I would be more inclined to believe them if I wasn't having to look at his chest all the time.
He has a gruff look about him. I think I would want him to be my friend rather than my enemy. I can see myself making fun of him, and while I'm laughing at him he walks up behind me and nails me with a shovel. Watching him do that to somebody else would highly amuse me. And somehow, I would feel more comfortable with him. He wouldn't do it out of revenge or anger. It would be more like a dude swatting a fly with a fly swatter.
You might want to do something about that knee. As previously mentioned, it does look a little phallic. Hey, what is this guy a monk for, anyway? Is he just a wandering righteously pious dude? If he's a wandering dude, I bet all the gangs want him to join them, because you know he's pretty good with the bowstaff.
G-fab,
Thanks. I'm gonna post more info about the project on my next post.
Joseph,
This guy is one the dudes the hero runs into. So he's definitely not a monk--yet.

He's kind of the wandering Samurai/Gunslinger archetype, at least in this story.
This guy is awesome. Nice design, with some great attitude- great face too.
Haha this guy is great! Nice work!
